Like the 100mm F2.8 Macro introduced at the same time, Tokina’s 11-16mm F2.8 updates an older lens with a more modern-looking exterior. The company says that specs and performance of its existing ‘AT-X Pro lenses are reconsidered with the contemporary cameras in mind’ in this new atx-i series. The 11-16mm is an autofocus wide-angle zoom for Nikon and Canon APS-C cameras, built with an internal zooming mechanism and using 13 elements in 11 groups.
