Manufacturer description
The Sony FE 50mm F1.2 GM (G Master) is an ultra-fast premium full-frame lens. It’s the same size and weight as the Sony/Zeiss 50mm F1.4 but gives users an extra 1/2-stop of light. It uses three special ‘extreme aspherical’ elements and a Nano AR II coating to reduce flare and ghosting, and has an 11-blade aperture. The lens’s two floating focus groups are each driven by a pair of ‘extreme dynamic’ linear motors. The lens can focus as closely as 40cm (15.6″) and has a max magnification of 0.17x.
The 50mm F1.2 GM has an aperture ring which can be clicked or de-clicked as well as two customizable buttons. It’s weather-sealed and has a fluorine coating to repel dust and moisture from the front element.
