The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 8-25mm F4 Pro is 16-50mm equivalent lens for Micro Four Thirds. The lens has a retractable design and has 16 elements, which include Super ED, ED and EDA glass. A large ‘DSA’ element reduces sagittal comatic aberration, and the ‘ZERO’ coating reduces flare and ghosting.
The 8-25mm has a minimum focus distance of 23cm (9″) across the focal range and a magnification of 0.42x. Seventy-two millimeter filters are supported.
As with all of Olympus’s Pro lenses, the 8-25mm is weather-sealed (to IPX1 standards) and freeze-proof. The front element has a fluorine coating to repel oil and water.
