The HD Pentax-FA 77mm F1.8 Limited is an updated version of the ‘smc’ version of this ultra-compact lens, which was released in 1999. When mounted on a Pentax APS-C body, the focal range is equivalent to 115.5mm. New features include an ‘HD’ coating to reduce flare and ghosting, and fully rounded aperture blades. The lens has a minimum focus distance of 70cm (27.6″) and a max magnification of 0.14x. The lens is all-aluminum (but not weather-sealed) and includes an aperture ring. It is available in black and silver.
